I was in Charlotte for Labor Day weekend with the intention of going to a day party; however, when I arrived, was not feeling the vibe or atmosphere. I left and went to another spot downtown but the parking was difficult and viewing the crowd on the patio, decided to keep going. I googled to find a low-key spot and discovered Eighty Eight’s Coffee & Cocktails. It did not disappoint! Parking was ample. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Dre and Ava, the bartenders, were attentive. Sanpriest and his band displayed top-notch showmanship! It was a wonderful experience. Three points: Reservations are recommended; however, I walked in and seating was readily available. Grab a bite to eat beforehand; food is not served here. Ladies, don’t hesitate to go alone as I did; I made two new friends while there. ☺️

Very cool jazz club in Charlotte- Service, Bar, & music was fantastic! Totally worth the drive. Spent date night in a very relaxing atmosphere ( don’t forget a covering ladies as the AC was cool!) Note that they do not offer any food.

Eighty Eights Coffee & Cocktails was one of the highlights of my Charlotte trip. It was my second stop of the evening, and from the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was on point. The live music was incredible and kept the energy going all night. I ordered the Espresso Martini and the Spicy Margarita, and both were perfectly crafted. You can tell they put just as much care into the drinks as they do the entertainment. If you’re visiting Charlotte or you’re local and haven’t been yet, add this place to your list. Great music, great cocktails, and an overall experience that’s hard to beat. There’s truly something musical for everyone.

Y’all need to come here and try their coffee!!! They make their own homemade syrups instead of using the basic Torani or Monin syrups, and you can really taste the difference. The customer service is amazing—Jennelise and Sophia were both so nice and welcoming. Definitely a great spot to grab a coffee!

I checked out Eighty Eights for the first time today and it was great! There was plenty of seating, lots of natural light, and a really spacious setup. It was perfect for getting some work done. The Wi-Fi was fast, latte was excellent, and the jazzy background music made for a relaxed vibe. Right now they just have pastries available, but the barista mentioned a full kitchen is in the works, which I’m excited to see. It’s a hidden gem if you’re looking for a quiet coffee shop with reliable Wi-Fi. Plenty of parking and a cute outdoor garden area too. Most reviews mention the live jazz and cocktails in the evenings (which I’m excited to come back and check out), but it’s also a great daytime spot for coffee and work.
